Glow-Up on I-35E: The Reinvention of a Texas Icon
Bruco, the famous Texas-Italian caterpillar, recently underwent an exterior renovation, including new boots and a redesigned face by the granddaughters of David B. South, inventor of the Monolithic Dome and creator of the original structure. The 30-year-old manufacturing facility is a caterpillar-shaped Monolithic Dome and a popular part of the Monolithic Dome Research Park and Central Texas landscape.

Opening the Monolithic Forum
We are starting up the Monolithic Forum—an online discussion board for Monolithic Dome enthusiasts. This is an early invitation for our Roundup subscribers to try it out! Maybe post a picture of a “dome in the wild,” or start a thread about what you’d like to see us do for our next video, or post a technical question for our experts. Please help us build this new platform as an informative, fun, and helpful place.
